Events at the Library

This week's art style theme is Cubism- Cubism was a revolutionary new approach to representing reality invented around 1907–08 by artists Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, resulting in paintings that appear fragmented and abstracted.

This week's art style theme is Pointillism- Pointillism is a technique of painting in which small, distinct dots of color are applied in patterns to form an image. Georges Seurat and Paul Signac developed the technique in 1886, branching from Impressionism.

Art Show- We will be having an art show to showcase all of our art projects thus far.

THOMAS MEMORIAL -This week's art style theme is - Fauvism, A style of painting the flourished in France around the turnof the 20th century.

THOMAS MEMORIAL- This week's art style theme is Bauhaus - A movement championed a geometric, abstract style featuring little sentiment or emotion and no historical nods, and its aesthetic continues to influence architects, designers and artists

THOMAS MEMORIAL- This week's art style theme is Abstract Expressionism - An artistic movement of the mid-20thcentury comprising diverse styles and techniques and emphasizing especially an artist's liberty to convey attitudes and emotions through nontraditional and usually nonrepresentational means.

THOMAS MEMORIAL- This week's art style theme is Minimalism - A chiefly American movement in the visual arts and music originating in New York City in the late 1960s and characterized by extreme simplicity of form and a literal, objective approach.
