Therapy Dogs, JB and Jackson are ready to listen to young readers as they practice their new skill. Reading to a therapy dog helps build reading confidence and is just a lot of fun. Call the Colonial Heights branch at 423-239-1100 to schedule your child’s 15-minute appointment by December 4th!
The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program aims to get children and families reading together! For every 100 books read, participants will receive a book to keep from SCPL. To redeem your prize, turn in a completed 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten sticker sheet at any branch library.
Participants may sign up online or in the library.
