THOMAS MEMORIAL -This week's art style theme is - Dadaism. Dadaism was a movement with explicitly political overtones – a reaction to the senseless slaughter of the trenches of WWI. It essentially declared war against war, countering the absurdity of the establishment's descent into chaos with its own kind of nonsense.

Reader's Choice Book Club will be discussing The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix
COLONIAL HEIGHTS - We will learn about one state each week, starting with Delaware, the first state to ratify the constitution. We will read 2 or 3 picture books related to the state. Kids will add four pictures of things the state is known for to a map to create a page in a "scrapbook." Then we will make a craft related to the state.
The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program aims to get children and families reading together! For every 100 books read, participants will receive a book to keep from SCPL. To redeem your prize, turn in a completed 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten sticker sheet at any branch library.
Participants may sign up online or in the library.
