SUMMARY:Sullivan Gardens: Introduction to Loom Weaving and our Community Weaving Project
DESCRIPTION:Take a break from the cold with a cozy collaborative craft as we kick off our Community Weaving Project on Thursday\, January 8. Learn about different kinds of looms as staff sets up a rigid heddle style loom for patrons of all ages to use and add their own personal touch to a woven wall hanging. Attendees will learn to warp a rigid heddle loom and weave a basic tabby structure with all kinds of yarns. The finished project will be hung inside the library for our community to enjoy. This weaving project will be available to work on through the end of February\, so drop in anytime we are open to contribute! No registration is required.
