Reading with a therapy dog can help build confidence for reluctant readers by allowing them to practice reading in a non-judgmental environment. Get a jump on 3rd grade TN Ready tests and start reading to a therapy dog at the Colonial Heights Library. A therapy dog from Alliance of Therapy Dogs will be here from 2:30-3:30pm. The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program aims to get children and families reading together! For every 100 books read, participants will receive a book to keep from SCPL. To redeem your prize, turn in a completed 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten sticker sheet at any branch library.
Participants may sign up online or in the library.
