We will learn about one state each week, starting with Delaware, the first state to ratify the constitution. We will read 2 or 3 picture books related to the state. Kids will add four pictures of things the state is known for to a map to create a page in a “scrapbook.” Then we will make a craft related to the state.
The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program aims to get children and families reading together! For every 100 books read, participants will receive a book to keep from SCPL. To redeem your prize, turn in a completed 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten sticker sheet at any branch library.
Participants may sign up online or in the library.
