This program focuses on literature and is geared toward ages 8-12. We’ll be learning about classic books, neat facts about the author and the story with one of our favorite children’s programmers, Daniel! Join us at the Colonial Heights branch this week for some spooky fun as we learn about:
Ray Bradbury’s classic Halloween novel The Halloween Tree
The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program aims to get children and families reading together! For every 100 books read, participants will receive a book to keep from SCPL. To redeem your prize, turn in a completed 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten sticker sheet at any branch library.
Participants may sign up online or in the library.
